Introductions! Joanna Bai

 Hi everyone!

My name is Joanna Bai (pronouns she/her) and I will be one of your vice chairs for Myanmar Spring Revolution! I'm super excited to get to know all of you through BMUN and wanted to share a little about myself in this post.

I am currently a freshman at Berkeley double majoring in Society & Environment (which is like a mix between environmental science and public policy) and Conservation and Resource Management, looking to go into environmental law. I'm super passionate about the environment, especially in researching topics like climate change and human impacts on global ecosystems. If you would ever like to strike up a conversation or ask a question about those topics, I could go on for hours😅. I'm also originally from Irvine, CA, but I love Berkeley and exploring all the cool restaurants around campus. If you ever need any food recommendations, feel free to ask!

I've been attending MUN conferences since middle school, so I have about 7 years of experience in MUN. I actually attended a BMUN conference in high school, so it's really cool to be able to come here and become a chair myself. Although I don't compete anymore, MUN is the platform where I've met people I look up to, made many of my closest friends, and gained a more insightful worldview. I'm hoping that BMUN 72 will be an amazing experience and I can't wait to see you all in March!!!

Sincerely,

Joanna Bai
